What you need
- A hard surface to cut the lanterns on like a self-healing mat
- Sharp X-acto knife + scissors
- Glue (glue stick or liquid glue)
*If you are using liquid glue we recommend a small paint brush - White tissue paper
- A stack of heavy books or something equivalent to press the lanterns
- LED tea light candle or real tea light candle placed in a small jar
Instructions
Creating a Lumii is super easy! It just takes three steps:
1. Print:
You can print from your home printer or send it to a printer.
Recommended paper weight (card stock)
2. Cut:
Using a hard surface like a cutting board or self-healing cutting board, cut the shape of your Lumii using a sharp exacto knife. You can also use scissors to help with some of the shapes. Then measure the inside panel of the lantern and cut the white tissue paper into strips for the glow panels. Make sure to cut at least .25" larger than the opening.
3. Glue:
Apply glue to the outer edges of the glow panel and apply the issue paper strip to all four sides.
Then glue the "tab" to the last panel.
